Shadow Days & Tours
SCHEDULE A SHADOW DAY
Prospective students are invited to schedule a Shadow Day in which they will spend a day on campus alongside a current McGivney student and immerse themself in our community, attend classes, and see why it’s great to be a Griffin!
Who Can Visit?
During the fall semester, 8th grade students are welcome to shadow during the months of October and November. The sign-up window for fall shadow appointments will open in September. Starting in February, shadow appointments will open for the months of March and April. Current 7th graders and current high school students who are interested in transferring to McGivney for the next school year are also encouraged to shadow at this time. No 8th grade shadow appointments will be made in the spring.

When May I Schedule a Shadow Day?

What Should I Expect?
Visiting students will interact with their future classmates and teachers as they follow one of our student ambassadors for the day through his or her academic schedule. Shadows will enjoy a complimentary lunch in the Griffins Nest, tour the building, and have the opportunity to meet with our faith formation director, club sponsors, and coaches for activities in which they show interest. Shadow Days are offered on most school days and are held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parents are welcome to schedule a tour of the building at the conclusion of the Shadow Day. Parents will also meet with the Enrollment Director and Principal at the conclusion of the day.

Who Will My Child Shadow?
You have two options – request a specific student ambassador as your child's guide, or provide us with some of your child's interests and we will pair them up with a student ambassador with similar interests.
TAKE A TOUR
Prospective families are welcome to join us for Fall Preview Day, held annually the last Saturday in September. Those in attendance will enjoy a tour of the building led by our student ambassadors. Families will also listen to a brief presentation led by our principal, Mr. Joe Lombardi, and members of our staff to learn more about the McGivney Way and what it takes to be a Griffin!
