Catie Taylor

Catie Taylor grew up in Edwardsville and attended St. Boniface Catholic School and Edwardsville High School. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science from Bradley University in 2010 and earned her master's in secondary education from McKendree University in 2015. The first decade of her teaching career was spent teaching middle school social studies and English at Immaculate Conception School in Columbia, Illinois, and St. Boniface in Edwardsville. In addition to teaching, Catie has volunteered with drama programs and coached many academic teams.

Ms. Taylor has a deep love of the English language and the social sciences. She believes that every child deserves a safe, supportive and enthusiastic environment in which to learn and strives to provide that every day for her students. She is a member of St. Boniface parish and lives in Troy with her mom, brother and several poorly-behaved, but well-loved animals. When not teaching or reading, you can find Catie biking the MCT trails, traveling the country with friends and trying to teach her cat how to walk on a leash.
