Bobbie Madura

Bobbie Madura has served at Father McGivney Catholic High School since its opening in 2012, bringing with her a deep passion for student growth and support. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of Maryland and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from Bowie State University. Her career in education began with the Department of Defense Schools in Guam then Europe, and later included roles in both elementary and middle schools in Florida before returning 'home' to the Metro-East area.

 

Mrs. Madura is a licensed school counselor in Illinois and remains active in several professional organizations, including the American School Counselor Association, the Illinois School Counselor Association, and the American Psychological Association. She is also a past president of the Southwestern Illinois School Counselor Association.

 

Currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Catholic Educational Leadership at Saint Louis University, Mrs. Madura is dedicated to helping students grow in faith, build healthy coping skills, and explore the unique gifts God has given them. In her role, she strives to support students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually to prepare them not only for college and career, but for a life rooted in purpose and vocation.

Bobbie Madura has been a member of the McGivney staff since the school opened in 2012. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Education, then went on to pursue her desire to become a School Counselor by obtaining her Masters of Education in Guidance and Counseling from Bowie State University. After graduation, she worked with the Department of Defense Schools in Europe then in elementary and middle schools in Florida before returning to the Metro-East area. Mrs. Madura is active in the American School Counselor's Association, the Illinois School Counselor's Association and American Psychological Association. She is a past president of the Southwestern Illinois School Counselor's Association. As Student Services Director, she hopes to help the students grow in their faith, develop goals for the future, and become the person God has created them to be.
