Jeremy Kovarik
Jeremy Kovarik was born and raised in Waterloo, Illinois. Following fifteen years of Catholic education from preschool through high school, Mr. Kovarik continued the tradition by attending Saint Louis University, where he studied secondary education and English. During his time at SLU, he was a member of the Club Swim Team, and served as Vice President of the School Spirit Committee. Mr. Kovarik joined the McGivney family in 2015. A year later, he met another new teacher, Ms. Megan Caperton. Soon after, the two began dating and fell in love, and got married in August of 2020. The couple had their first child, Henry, in December of 2021, and in May of 2024, they welcomed their second child, Eleanor.
In addition to teaching freshman and senior Theology, as well as a Journalism course, Mr. Kovarik also sponsors the Scholar Bowl team and the Celtic Crew Spirit Club. Jeremy is proud to be a member of the Father McGivney Family. He considers it a true honor to work with "the greatest team ever assembled." Go Griffins!
