Father McGivney Catholic High School held their 10th Annual Decision Day on Friday, May 2nd to celebrate and honor all 76 graduating seniors, those who will be attending college in the fall, as well as those joining the military, workforce/trades, or taking a gap year.
Parents and students wore clothing from or colors of the higher education institution, military branch, or career choice. The staff dressed in clothing from their alma maters.
Students also received their graduation regalia with their graduation award status announced:
- Gold Cord: House Leader designation
- Navy/Gold Cord: House Captain Team
- Academic Medals: Summa, Magna, or Cum Laude
- National Honors Society Stole
- Alumni Coin
Class of 2025 Accomplishments:
- Average ACT Composite = 24
- The Average GPA of the senior class = 4.10
- 54 students are graduating Summa Cum Laude
- 4 students are graduating Magna Cum Laude
- 8 students are graduating Cum Laude
- 18 Illinois State Scholars
- 8 Silver Medallion Awardees
- Accepted into over 200 colleges and universities
- More than 21.3 million dollars in Scholarship offers - an average of $280,000 per student
